Driving Innovation: A Vehicle Companion App Tailored for the European Market

Automotive companion services have transformed how people drive and interact with their vehicles. For users, these apps are indispensable for enhancing the driving experience and simplifying day-to-day life. They not only foster brand loyalty but also serve as a crucial differentiator. As the automotive landscape becomes more competitive, manufacturers like Suzuki strive to stand out by crafting holistic digitally enhanced experiences.

After previously collaborating on the launch of a connected car app in India and Japan, the challenge involved seamlessly adapting the app's functionality to a European audience, taking into account not only localization considerations but also legal requirements. To provide the client with comprehensive guidance on navigating the European landscape, we created a design study including an analysis of the different markets, as well as an exploration of the customer journey and proto-personas. Additionally, our team developed a set of refined use cases, incorporating everything from the initial setup and registration to a real-time support feature in the event of a vehicle malfunction.
